The MZ trainee induction is an ICAP-approved articleship programme of three and a half to four years, depending on stage of entry. Trainees rotate across assurance, tax and advisory engagements, with formal study leave for every ICAP examination session and a structured appraisal at the end of each training year.

Trainee induction at Muniff Ziauddin & Co. is open to ICAP-registered CA students who have cleared the Assessment of Fundamental Competencies (AFC) or are at the Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF) stage, as well as ACCA and ICMAP students at equivalent stages. Candidates must have a valid FTS number issued by ICAP for CA registration. Strong academic performance and an aptitude for analytical work are expected.
The standard ICAP articleship is three and a half years for CAF-qualified entrants and four years for AFC-qualified entrants, in line with ICAP's Training Regulations. Trainees rotate across assurance, tax and advisory practices, with formal study leave for ICAP exam sessions and a mid-training appraisal at the end of the second year.
Yes. The firm's client portfolio includes listed manufacturing groups, financial institutions on the SBP Category A panel, insurance companies, donor-funded NGOs and SECP-regulated entities. Trainees are staffed on multi-engagement teams from their first audit cycle and are expected to take ownership of sections under senior supervision.
As an independent member of BKR International, MZ participates in secondments, joint engagements and cross-border training programmes across BKR's 160+ member firms in 80 countries. Trainees who demonstrate strong performance can apply for short-term assignments in the second half of articleship, subject to network availability and visa requirements.
Trainees receive ICAP-recognised study leave for each examination session, in-house technical training sessions led by partners and senior managers, and access to past-paper libraries and ICAP study packs. The firm tracks exam progress through a structured mentoring framework, and additional support is available for trainees attempting CFAP and MSA papers.
FTS — the Foundation Test Session number — is the unique identifier issued by ICAP to every CA student upon registration. It must be entered exactly as it appears on your ICAP student record. If you are an ACCA or ICMAP applicant, leave the FTS field with your equivalent registration number from your respective body and note this in the professional summary section.
