M. Afzal Munif served the profession for more than five decades. He served various terms on the ICAP's Council for 16 years from 1975-76 to 1991-92 and served as vice president for the terms 1977-79 and 1986-87 and was elected as president of the Institute for the year 1988-89. He also served on various standing and other committees of the ICAP.
Besides, he widely travelled the world over and represented the ICAP in several conferences and seminars including SAFA, International Congress of Accountants, CAPA, International Federation of Accountants and also represented as a delegate to Government of Sindh and Government of Pakistan in the World Bank meetings.
His dedication and valued contributions to the profession of accountancy and the ICAP will always be remembered.
